Therapy Intensives

The Kids Center’s Intensive Program is an intensive model of care which includes 3-hour therapy sessions, 5 days per week for 3 weeks by licensed physical and occupational therapists. Each child will be assigned to a therapist team (PT and OT) who will provide individual, one-hour sessions as well as a one-hour co-treat session every day of the 3-week session.

What are Therapy Intensives?

Therapy Intensives are a focused way to help your child make significant progress in a short period of time.

Here’s how it works: you, your child, and the therapists come together to set a big, overall goal that’s important for your child’s development.

Targeting Small, Specific Goals

Each therapy session targets smaller, specific goals that help work towards that big goal. These goals are designed to be practical and achievable, helping your child become more independent and capable in their daily activities.

It’s a collaborative and intensive approach aimed at making meaningful strides quickly.

Techniques Used

Our therapists providing the intensives have training and mentorship in the Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) approach.

Two of our therapists are NDT certified in pediatrics. All therapists have multiple training in this approach as well as training in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), use of the Therasuit and use of the Universal Exercise Unit.
