Spring Break Crab Crabbers (handwriting)
When: Spring Break 2019 dates coming soon
Where: Central Campus
Goal: Address foundation skills needed for good penmanship. Focusing on fine motor development, shape and directional line concepts, and basic strokes that are the building blocks for writing in kindergarten as well as early primary grades.
Who: Designed for children 4-5 years old, participants should be able to communicate, follow directions in a small group setting, and need to be able to work independently as well as with others.
Spring Break Print Wizards (handwriting)
When: 2019 Spring Break dates coming soon
Where: Central Campus
Goal: A review of letter sequences within writing lines will remediate common hand-writing errors. Small motor activities will promote successful pencil grasp and motion when writing. We will use a multi-sensory approach to make handwriting FUN!
Who: Print Wizards is intended for children in early primary grades who need help fine tuning their penmanship skills using manuscript.
KC Running Club
When: Summer 2019 dates coming soon
Where: Seneca Park Loop
Goal: Improve your health and fitness levels with the help of Julie Massey. The end goal is to be able to complete a 5k to be determined in August or September.
Who: Current Kids Center clients. Family running partners are welcome to train along side participants. Volunteers training partners will be provided if needed.
Summer FUNtastic Fridays
When: Dates for summer 2019 coming soon
Where: Rotates through central and east campus
Goal: We know our kids and their families work hard all year long in therapy. So during the summer we wanted to bring you FUN! Rotating themes such as water day, superhero day, sports day, and a carnival day.
Cost: $124 per half session (4 Fridays) or $248 per full session (all 8 Fridays). Offering a pay by day option throughout the summer as space allows with one week’s advance notice $31 per 2 hour session.
Who: Priority will be given to current Kids Center clients of all ages/abilities and their siblings, but up to 5 slots per session are open to participants who are not currently receiving services at the Kids Center.
